How we set and monitor budgets through the life of a case, so spend stays on track and there are no surprises at the end.
Precedent H Budgets ▾
We prepare the Precedent H budget at the outset of a case, phase by phase, so it's realistic, defensible, and ready to withstand scrutiny at the costs management conference.
Budget Monitoring ▾
As the case progresses, we track actual spend against the approved budget by phase, flagging any phase heading towards its ceiling well before it becomes a problem.
Variation Applications ▾
Where a significant development takes the case outside the approved budget, we prepare and, where needed, argue the Precedent T variation application to revise it.
Costs Management Orders ▾
We advise on and, where appropriate, challenge the terms of the costs management order itself, so the budget the court approves actually reflects how the case will be run.
